Family Holidays in Valencia
When I imagined my family holidays, I could think of no better place than Casa El Somni and its apartments. A place to rest, which would seem away from everything, but with so many things to do at the same time? My children are 12 and 13. The kids could play without the need for somebody to stand over them. They played ping pong on the porch and swam in the swimming pool until their hands were all wrinkled, while I could enjoy the peace and quiet of being surrounded by the valley of La Drova and a good book in the garden.
In all honesty, this has been a dream vacation. We went to the water park in Cullera with the kids and to the movie theater in Gandia. We also went to the beach and alternated eating in the apartment’s kitchen with eating out at restaurants in the nearby towns. Within the town of Barx, there is also a variety of bars and restaurants, let alone the coastal area, where, besides paella, we could also try ‘arroz al horno’, which was absolutely delicious.
We completed our family holidays in the city of Valencia and took the kids to l’Oceanogràfic so they would enjoy one of their first experiences with marine animals. It was just amazing! It was a blast for them and I have come back with a silly smile on my face and the feeling that I have broken away from routine and made the most of my family holidays in a way I hadn’t for years.
